Rapha Pro Team Lightweight Cargo W Bib Tight

The Rapha Pro Team Lightweight Cargo W is a pair of women’s long cycling shorts with bib straps, designed for serious training in cool conditions. The lightweight fabric, made from 79% nylon and 21% elastane, keeps the wind chill at bay without the weight and bulk of thermal shorts. The two external leg pockets are new for 2026 and give you instant access to nutrition and accessories whilst training, without having to reach into your rear pockets.

The Pro Team chamois is the same as that found in the Pro Team Cargo Bib Shorts: a single layer of perforated foam with a perforated top layer that wicks moisture away quickly. It is designed for high-intensity, forward-leaning biking and long training rides. The elasticated bib straps with an embossed Rapha logo fit snugly without any pressure points and keep the chamois in the right place at all times.

Pro Team chamois

The Pro Team chamois consists of a single layer of perforated foam. This provides even support without any hard transitions. The perforated top layer quickly wicks moisture away from the skin, keeping you dry whilst cycling. This is the same chamois as in the Rapha Pro Team Cargo Bib Shorts, the best chamois Rapha makes for women.

Lightweight nylon-elastane fabric

The fabric is 79% nylon and 21% elastane. Nylon is strong, lightweight and hard-wearing. The 21% elastane ensures the fabric moves with you in any cycling position without constricting. The fabric is light enough to breathe during high-intensity effort, yet dense enough to keep out the wind chill at temperatures between 10°C and 20°C.

Two leg pockets

The two pockets are situated on the outside of the upper thighs and can be accessed without changing position. They are designed for nutrition and small items during training. The pockets have no fastenings and are therefore not compatible with valuables in the rain or at high speeds.

Suitable for you if

• You cycle in temperatures of 10°C to 20°C: cool mornings and rides in spring and autumn where you want to keep the wind chill at bay without the bulk of thermal tights.
• You want lightweight bib tights with bib straps and a top-quality chamois for high-intensity workouts.
• You want easy access to your nutrition during your ride via the leg pockets.

Not suitable for

• Temperatures below 10°C. The lightweight fabric without a warm lining won’t keep your legs warm enough in these conditions; in that case, choose thermal bib tights.
• Leisurely rides or sitting upright on the bike. The Pro Team chamois is designed for riding in a forward-leaning position during high-intensity effort; for relaxed rides, a wider, thicker chamois is more comfortable.
• Rides where you want to carry valuables in the pockets. The leg pockets are open and not water-resistant.

Measure your hip circumference at the widest point and your waist circumference at the narrowest point. Select your size in the order box based on these measurements. The Pro Team fit is tight and has a snug fit; if you’re between two sizes, choose the larger one for greater freedom of movement and chamois comfort.

How to keep your Pro Team Lightweight Cargo W in good condition

1. Wash at 30°C: a cold to lukewarm cycle. Rapha recommends a washing temperature of 30°C for these trousers.
2. Wash similar colours together: do not mix with white or light-coloured garments.
3. Do not bleach or dry-clean: both will damage the fabric and the chamois.
4. Tumble dry on the lowest setting: Rapha states that you may tumble dry these shorts on the lowest setting. Always use the lowest setting.
5. Do not iron: the fabric and the logo cannot withstand the heat of an iron.

• Take the trousers off immediately after your ride and wash them as soon as possible. Sweat left in the chamois fabric will damage the quality of the chamois and cause odours to develop.
• The leg pockets are open: check them after your ride to ensure nothing has been left behind before putting the trousers in the wash.
